Memory Leak Fixes our Image Processors

We have issued updates for the following applications

  • Batch It Ultra v5.84
  • Batch It Pro v5.82
  • Batch It v6.69
  • JBatch It v6.53

This urgent update fixes a memory leak cause when loading thumbnails to the File Listing. In prior updates, the thumbnails are populated for every single entries on the list which would come in handy when scrolling through the entire list. However the downside is that it can get very memory intensive especially when working with huge list which numbers several thousand photos. This can lead to a silent crash.

In this update, we rewrote how the File Listing add the images and would only populate the thumbnails of the entries which are in view. This help keep the memory usage low and prevents a crash.

If you are encountering issues with the above-mentioned applications, we advice that you download and install the current versions.

Batch It Ultra v5.83 Released

We reworked the File Listing module so that the thumbnails are only added to the list when the rows are in view. What this does is that it would reduce the memory overheads which might lead to a possible crash when working on a large list of several thousands photos.

If you are encountering crashes when loading files to the list, please install this update.

Batch MMedia Date Changer v1.54 Released

In this update, we reworked the file listing module so that the thumbnails are only loaded when they are in view. Previously the thumbnails are loaded when the row is populated which can cause the memory usage to take a hit especially for long list. This may result in a silent crash.

In this new framework, the memory usage is kept low and the thumbnails would only be loaded when you scroll to those rows.

We are pleased to announce the immediate release of Batch TIFF PDF Resizer v3.63. In this update, the app now supports importing of Password Protected PDF Documents. You will be prompted for the unlock password so the page manipulation and extraction can be performed.

We made some changes to the UI to address the flickering while resizing the app.

Changing File Date on Windows and Mac

Setting the wrong file date can get messy. There are times particularly for photos when we have to replace batteries on our digital cameras and having the camera reset the date and time to some default time in the past. Digital cameras typically do not come with a real time clock built into it and would hold charge enough between battery changes but if you do take the batteries out to charge overnight or to have them taken out because you would not use the camera for several weeks, you will find that the file date get reseted. So each time that happens, we will have to manually set the date and time all over again. That works fine for the most parts but I am not sure about you but I’ve face many times when I set the PM to AM or especially doing the start of the year, to have set the year on the camera to the year that has just past.
