Memory Pics (Windows) v1.0 Launched

We are pleased to announce the launched of the Windows version of Memory Pics. This project started off several months back when we were exploring a better way to keep memories alive. We are avid photographers are take countless number of photos during the weekends of the things we see and places we go. But after a while, it is hard to recall what happened that day or what led us to the place or the back story behind the picture.

Going through several ideas through our brainstorming session, the concept of Memory Pics was born. We aim to answer the What, Where and How questions and thus enriching the photo experience. We didn’t want to require proprietary technology which will lock you into using our tools to view the photos like in the case of a photo gallery or database.

Memory Pics stores all the additional information within the EXIF header which is used to store information about the photos by the cameras and smartphones. This may also include embedding the GPS Coordinates too. This certainly helps us quite a bit. But GPS Coordinates are mere string of numbers which on their own doesn’t mean a thing. That’s where the visualisation on the Maps comes into play.

The project started off with the Mac version as the current MacOS comes embedded with Apple Maps which makes it easy and to use it, all we needed to do was to sell our apps through the Mac App Store.

However, on the Windows platform, it got kind of sticky. There is Google Maps and Bing Maps which is available for end users to use on the Web for free but to incorporate them into our applications, there is monthly licensing fees and also the fees based on the number of queries made to their database if we are to charge for the application. Which we needed to as the other parts of the application isn’t free. We needed to keep the cost down and we did not want to bog you down on monthly subscription and our search concluded when we chanced upon OpenStreet Map. It does the job pretty well but it didn’t come with the satellite or street view. It’s however enough for what we needed. On the Windows version, there is an option to view the maps on Google Maps on your web browser if you so decide to. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Maps are not stored within the application as they are massive and are constantly changing and as such, you will require an internet connection to view the maps or to use the application. Only the portion of the map in view is being loaded so not much data is being used.

For more information, do check out Memory Pics (Windows) at https://www.batchimage.com/product/memory-pics-windows/ . It currently retails for $12.99 and comes in both 64 Bit and 32 Bit native versions which can be downloaded from our website. This comes with a 14 Days Free Trial. Any photos embedded with the added information will continue to work beyond the trial period. We do encourage you to grab a copy of Memory Pics as we believe that it will benefit everyone.

The free Read-Only Viewers can also be downloaded here for the Windows version or on the Mac App Store for the Mac version. You can share your photos with anyone you want and have them use the free viewers to access the additional information you have included in the photo.

CM Batch JPEG Date Changer, CM Batch JPEG Rotator and CM TIFF Viewer released to the Mac App Store

We are pleased to announce the release of three new applications on the Mac App Store.

CM TIFF Viewer

CM TIFF Viewer 80

CM TIFF Viewer is free TIFF viewing application which allows you to view single and multipage TIFF files. It comes with a magnification slider to enlarge the view. It is helpful in viewing TIFF files which may not be supported by the built-in Preview app. As the Mac App Store does not support trial versions of our applications, we release this application as a way for potential users test if our TIFF supported applications will work with their files.

For more information or to download this FREE application, you can do so at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cm-tiff-viewer/id1083844538?ls=1&mt=12

CM Batch JPEG Rotator

rotator 80CM Batch JPEG Rotator is modelled after our very own Batch JPEG Rotator which supports lossless JPEG rotation via EXIF meta data. By employing this method of rotation, the photo quality is not sacrifice and photos will be viewed in the correct orientation on any computer and platform. You will not need to worry about rotating each photo one at a time as it will evaluate every single photo and determine the appropriate orientation needed. It saves you time and hassle especially when sharing photographs with friends, family, colleagues or customers.

On the Mac and iOS devices, photos are automatically rotated so it might not be obvious that the actual underlying photos is stored as landscape oriented photos no matter if they are landscape or portrait. So what may seems right on the Apple devices would look very wrong on other platform. Solving this fundamental issue is what CM Batch JPEG Rotator is here to do.

For more information and to purchase this application, you can do so at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cm-batch-jpeg-rotator/id1102364838?ls=1&mt=12

CM Batch JPEG Date Changer

datechanger 80CM Batch JPEG Date Changer is an application born out of necessity. It is a batch tool which helps you modify the Creation, Modification and EXIF date associated to the JPEG photo file.

It solves a fundamentally pain point which may happen when wrongly setting the digital camera date time and finding out that all the dates are messed up. CM Batch JPEG Data Changer can help by offering you three ways of rectifying this issue. First by letting you set a specific date and/or time (you can decide which to change). Secondly by applying Date Maths by adding or subtracting time and day from the date time on the photos. Thirdly by syncing all Creation, Modification and EXIF Date times.

There are tools out there which let you change file date and time but essentially what those do is to change all the files to a single date and time. It may work well for documents but that does not work well for digital photos when each photo would have been taking at different time. Moreover most tools does not deal with EXIF Date Time which would be essential for Cloud storage services such as Google Photos.

CM Batch JPEG Date Changer is made to fill that void and be a life saver when it is called upon.

CM TIFF 2 PDF is back in the App Store

Apple came through for us and granted us the expedite review process and CM TIFF 2 PDF v3.0.1 is back on the App Store. This fixes the licensing issue.

We apologized for the inconvenience caused. If you are affected by the issue, please download the latest version from the Mac App Store.

CM TIFF 2 PDF (Mac) Temporarily removed from the App Store

We were alerted to the fact that the current CM TIFF 2 PDF v3.0.0 on the Mac App Store was using an old license key for the PDF engine and did not work. We have removed the app from sale to minimize the issue and have uploaded a new version v3.0.1 with the fix.

A request for the App Store to perform an expedited review has been made and hope that the CM TIFF 2 PDF will be made available within the next few days.

We apologize for the oversight.

All Mac Apps are now 64 Bit

Over the last year, we have been making several tweaks to our Mac Apps and at the beginning of 2016, we successfully compiled and listed all our non-PDF based apps to 64 Bit. Last week, we submitted 64 Bit version of the last four applications, Batch TIFF & PDF Converter, CM TIFF 2 PDF, CM PDF & TIFF Page Extractor and CM PDF Merge NX to the Mac App Store and they have been approved and now listed on the App Store.

With that, all our applications on the three platform, Mac, Windows and iOS applications are now available in 64 Bit versions.

As all our Mac Applications are supported on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and above, we have discontinued the 32 Bit support with that release.

CM TIFF Viewer Launched on the Mac App Store

We are pleased to announce the release of CM TIFF Viewer on the Mac App Store.

CM TIFF Viewer is a TIFF File Graphical Viewer. It employs the same TIFF rendering engine as our ComboTIFF, CM TIFF 2 PDF, Batch TIFF & PDF Converter and CM PDF & TIFF Page Extractor applications.

TIFF Documents are container files which can supported a wide variety of compression algorithms and some are widely used while others may be a little more obscure.

Over time, we had request to test of the TIFF documents which our users have are compatible with our tools and as such CM TIFF Viewer is born.

This FREE application can be used to evaluate the TIFF viewing and rendering features of our other tools or can be used as a quick way to view a TIFF document file which you may have around. As the Mac App Store does not allow you to try the application before buying, we thought it would be apt to provide you a way to test the TIFF engine to see if they work with your files.

It supports both Single Page and Multipage TIFF documents which you can navigate through the pages. There is a Zoom slider which you can use to enlarge or reduce the dimensions of your TIFF file.

CM TIFF Viewer is a standalone application which is simple to use.

You can find CM TIFF Viewer at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cm-tiff-viewer/id1083844538?ls=1&mt=12

Batch TIFF & PDF Converter is Live

We have just got word from Apple that Batch TIFF & PDF Converter is now live on the Mac App Store.

This application is includes all the best features from all our PDF and TIFF tools we have listed on the Mac App Store which gives you an all-on-one platform to simplify all your TIFF and PDF needs.

Batch TIFF & PDF Converter

Although this application is called Batch TIFF & PDF Converter, like most of our applications, they do more than just converting between TIFF and PDF and vice versa. The inclusion of Page Ranges which we perfected on Batch TIFF Resizer is a powerful feature which will allow you to rearrange, extract, insert and remove pages from your TIFF or PDF documents. It gives you all the control needed to perform the task through a simple to understand interface. We are all familiar with Page Ranges in the context of Printing where you can select which page of the documents to print and we just brought that same simplicity in this tool.

An example of page range can be sum up in this simple line. Say that you have 10 pages in your document and you need to remove page 4 and swap the order of page 6 and 7. The Page Range will look like 1-3,5,7-6,8-10 . It’s as simple as that.

Page Extraction will allow you to extract one or more pages in the document for distribution instead of having to offer the entire document. The extracted pages can be saved as a TIFF, PDF, PNG or even a JPG file.

Inserting pages can be a life-saver especially when a page or more is missing from the document and you will not need to recreate the entire TIFF or PDF file. All you need to do is use Batch TIFF & PDF Converter to insert that page or file in for you. It supports inserting TIFF, PDF, PNG and JPG files.

Removing pages is the opposite of inserting and can be equally useful when certain pages are not ready for distribution.

Apart from those core features, Batch TIFF & PDF Converter supports adding of Text Captions to the pages. This can be done on the 9 computed points on the page and not only that you can determine which page you want the text captions to be on. A text caption in this case can be your copyright tag.

It also supports page resizing to reduce the page size and thus document size.

For PDF files, it supports working on both password protected and non password protected file. When it first loads the file to the list, it will evaluate if the file is password protected and if so, will prompt you to enter the password. This is only done at the beginning of the session. Obviously, this application will also offer you the ability to password protect your PDF file and determine which permissions such as Copying, Printing and Annotation support.

Batch TIFF & PDF Converter is a robust tool which is modelled around our Batch TIFF Resizer for Windows. This application is used by legal firms, architectural firms and any organization and individuals who would need to work with TIFF or PDF files on a regular basis.

Batch TIFF & PDF Converter retails for US$29.99 and is available exclusively on the Mac App Store at

CM Sort List NX v1.0.0 Released on the Mac App Store

We are pleased to announce the immediate release of CM Sort List NX v1.0.0. This application has been rewritten from ground up with a modern interface and an enhanced sorting engine. This new engine not only works faster and allows you to sort both Ascending and Descending, it is able to detect numbers from the list of text you have entered and sort them irregardless of whether they are padded or not. It does not matter if the numbers are at the begin or at the back of the text or even forms part of the numbers. CM Sort List NX also allows you to load multiple list of words and is able to remove any duplicates on the fly.

At the current moment, this application is available on the Mac App Store for the Mac OS X platform but we will be releasing Windows version of this application in the weeks to come. This will come as a 32 Bit and a 64 Bit builds.

CM Batch Photo Processor (Mac) v1.1.23 Available

We are pleased to announce the release of CM Batch Photo Processor (Mac) v1.1.23 on the Mac App Store.

As we mentioned earlier, the v1.1.22 had and issue where the “Evaluation Version” was splashed on the App Title and we decided it was best to remove it from the App Store. At the moment, we submitted a new update and took out our trump card and asked Apple to expedite the review instead of having our clients wait 2 to 3 weeks for the update under normal circumstances.

We are pleased that Apple accepted our request and CM Batch Photo Processor went into review several hours ago and has been accepted.

Please update to this version as it offers OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion Compatibility and fixes several bugs.
